Clinging by a Claw: Saving Scotland’s Wildcats
18 March 2026
Louise Hughes, Fieldwork Operations Manager, Saving Wildcats
After a third batch of releases into the Cairngorms National Park, Louise leads the team tracking released wildcats across the vast landscape that they now call home. From monitoring new-born kittens in the wild, to working with partners to ensure the long-term presence of wildcats in the area, she will give an insight into one of the UK’s most exciting carnivore relocation projects. She is based at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig, near Kingussie.
Followed by Annual General Meeting.
